You still have time to buy Girl Scout cookies!

By Reagan Ranzer

For Latino Lubbock Magazine Digital Media

It's Girl Scout cookie season and you still have time to support these young entrepreneurs.

Our student journalist Reagan Ranzer interviewed girls from troop 6371 as they passed out cookies and kept six feet apart. Girl Scout Season has been extended due to recently historically insane winter weather. Girl Scouts are extending cookie sales until March 14, 2021. A box costs $4, while gluten-free cookies are $5 per package.. Latino Lubbock Magazine wishes troop 6371 the best of luck.

Further, as a reminder when it comes to mask-wearing, Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, will continue to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Specifically, the following guidelines remain applicable for girl and adult members of the council:

  • Masks are required at all our facilities, buildings, and camp properties.

  • Masks are required at all in-person programs or activities (e.g. cookie booths).

  • Masks are required at public activities where you are representing Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.

  • Remain at least 6 feet apart, especially around people who do not live with you.

  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before putting on your mask.

  • Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces.

They will continue to stay updated on CDC guidelines for fighting the pandemic and adjust our council guidelines accordingly.
