Diabetes Awareness Month Cafecito with National LULAC Wednesday, November 17, 2021
Diabetes Awareness Month aims to bring awareness to a condition that affects millions of people in the United States. On average, Latinos are more likely to have prediabetes and type 2 diabetes than non-Hispanic whites, and they’re more likely to develop it at a younger age. According to the CDC, US adults have a 40% chance of developing type 2 diabetes, while Latino American adults have more than a 50% chance.
LULAC invites you to join our Diabetes Awareness Month Cafecito with the All of Us Research Program on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 PM MT/ 7:00-8:00 PM ET. Come learn about diabetes within the Latino community, and the need for better understanding of Latino health. Also learn about the All of Us Research Program and its efforts in finding personalized health care treatments, as well as learn about how to attain reliable health resources.
