Two Juveniles Arrested in Connection to Monday Night Homicide in Central Lubbock

(LUBBOCK, TX) – Two juveniles are in custody charged with murder in connection to a Monday night shooting in Central Lubbock that left 51-year-old Michael Stevens dead.

Lubbock Police were called to the 2700 block of 25th Street at 7:58 p.m. on March 27th for a check subject call. Upon arrival, officers located Stevens in a vehicle in an alley with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears that Stevens was the victim of an aggravated robbery with the two 16 year-old males holding him at gunpoint when he was shot.

With help from members of the Texas Anti-Gang Center, the two were taken into custody before two o’clock this afternoon without incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
