MFV Announces Chief Development Officer

Mi Familia Vota proudly announces and welcomes Carlos Duarte as Chief Development Officer. Duarte has been with the organization in key roles for over 10 years, providing him immeasurable institutional knowledge and a clear vision for expanding a revenue stream to fund robust programs nationwide that are building Latino political power. He formerly served as the Texas state director.

Duarte will prioritize building efficient systems, exploiting board members’ strengths, and harnessing staff and volunteer power to create a culture of philanthropy to advance the Latino and immigrant community. He will strive to integrate MFV’s field, communications, data and research and development to produce a remarkable virtuous cycle where all departments can coalesce to better achieve our mission of promoting social and economic justice through civic engagement.

MFV has operations in six of the states with the highest Latino population growth, providing an enormous opportunity to empower our community members. We will continue to promote civic engagement, voter mobilization (with a focus on young, Latino voters), and an expanded Latino electorate ahead of the census and the 2020 elections. Duarte will lead MFV into its next evolutionary phase that will more fully align our constituent growth and necessities with our operations. We look forward to working with our community to bring our growing familia to new heights for generations to come.
