2018 OneBook: Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya - Sparking Reading & Discussion


Latino Lubbock Magazine is proud to be a OneBook LBK partner featuring the 2018 OneBook: Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya.

OneBook LBK is a community-wide reading program of LHUCA sparking creative and meaningful discussion. Participants read the selected book and are encouraged to form groups or clubs to discuss issues and topics the book raises. Readers can register their own groups and meet independently. Readers are also encouraged to attend group discussions hosted by LHUCA and OneBook Community Partners, such as Latino Lubbock Magazine.

Hernandez is currently pursuing his Ph.D at Texas Tech University. His studies specialize in Latinx and Mexican/Mexican-American Literature. He received his master’s in Mexican American Studies at the University of Texas Austin. Currently, he teaches English at Texas Tech and serves as the associate editor for The West Texas Historical Review. He has spoken at several academic conferences on Mexican American, Chicanx, and Latinx Literature, as well as completed extensive research and written on Bless Me, Ultima.
