The Brewery LBK and Flippers Tavern Collaborate for International Women’s Day

The Brewery LBK. February 22, 2019 – The Brewery LBK and their friends from Flipper’s Tavern will join the celebration and brew a special IPA dedicated to advancing the power of women and diversity to strengthen our community. A post brew day party will begin at 4pm on March 8, and $1 of every pint sold will benefit the YWCA of Lubbock. Four weeks later, the finished product will be served at the Collaboration Beer Release Party April 6, 6pm at Flippers Tavern during their annual Spring Festival. RAICES COMPANIA DE DANZA TO HOST MEMBER REPRESENTATIVES OF BALLET DE MEXICO FROM MEXICO CITY

Ballet de Mexico Master Class Lubbock MARCH 15, 16, & 17 – 2019 For the first time in Lubbock, TX, Raíces Compañía de Danza is proud to host famed dance legend, Amalia Viviana Basanta Hernandez, artistic director of the world renowned company, Ballet de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez. Maestra Amalia will be accompanied by guest instructors and together, they will guide dancers thru more than 20 hours of workshop and master class training. Repertoire will be original Jalisco and Conchero/Aztec choreographies authored by the late Amalia Hernandez. Cities such as New York, San Diego, and Chicago have hosted similar master classes.
